Wonderful capture, Les!  You've clearly gotten on the bad side of this one and it has ruffled it feathers in preparation for attack, just like a dog's hair raises all up and down its back!

Snowys and Hawk Owls have little fear of humans I've found but they keep a close tab on you when you're close.  Thank you.
