Such a beautiful and interesting design - like a chinese / vietnamese (because of the hat) "wereliger", who has traveled all the way to Africa to meet his ancestors - or something. Haha, I love pictures that make me come up with a story! ^w^

There are "parts" for our drawings for which we need references some times, but "other parts" (ahem!) are probably simple enough X3 These "other parts" might be polemic, bur for sure that they make the characters look more realistic- that is why my leopards have them too :3

wow you pump a lot of artwork lately o.O and awesome ones too. You are getting more badass with backgrounds. The colours are very delicious too. an eye candy!
However I might have a little crit about the "3d effect" or called chromatic abberation. Try not to abuse it too much. I think it would have been better if the effect was much more softer, stopping at the tailbase, and with a blur included. it looks a bit too strong and distracting , especially when there isn't much movement (action) in the image. Also I recommend using it maybe for distance areas with a blur to give the dept feel. (the further away something is, the stronger the effect.)

Ohh, it is very simple. I used a texture brush-the are hundreds here on dA, they are pretty awesome, that's how I got the edges
