Finally finished the first of two commissions for Destructor, and I'm fairly happy with this one for what it is. Started as a sketch during the last day of AnthroCon and I decided to go digital with it so I could play with the logo and such.
This is for all you oldskool StarFox fans out there -- you know who you are. Stop drooling on the screen, thanks.

You do know why Nintendo seams to have a hard on for trashing, ignoring, and erasing any of the star fox linage that pre-dates the Ultra64 release (that's N64 for those who arn't nerds). The original Star Fox was a fluke, it was originally designed to test the new FX chip nothing more nothing less (So was FX stunt racer antoher excellent but forgotten game) and when they released it they released it in 93 the response was so intense that Nintendo decided they needed to build a back story to the characters and Star Fox 2 would have been a continuance of the story presented in the comics. Even though Fara wasn't a playable character in 2 (She does make an appearance towards the end) she was supposedly going to be a full fledged member of the Team in Star Fox 3 (Don't know the actual production name) but when 2 got the axe the Star Fox 3 idea died and we got Star Fox 64, and I don't mean that in a bad way but it just seams like a cop out on Nintendo's part to abandon an entire story line and re-make and re-build it just so they can have an actual back story from the start. Ok that's my rant for the day........Great piece of work by the way, the world needs more Fara Fan art.

At least with 64 you can fiddle around a lil' to fit the existence of Fara, Fay, Miyu, all the classics into it. But things went much, much worse when Adventures came around - what the heck happened to Ms Phoenix?! - and definitely down the drain by the time we had Command infecting the DS (but at least the big N learned from that one.)
Chances are low they'll rethink the story, but in the meantime I can think of nasty ways to make Krystal say hello to Fara.

and what makes it even sadder is that the 2002 issue of Nintendo power (discussing were adventures fits into the SF time line) they basically brushed Star Fox (on the SNES as well as the comics) aside with a statement along the lines of "It happened....moving on". It's just very pitiful that Nintendo feels they can just reconfigure the Star Fox time line to fit what ever mood their in at the moment, I mean take Command for instance (before Nintendo commented that it is not cannon) it was considered to take place some time after the events in the original Star Fox (or Star Fox 64) depending on which time line you follow, making it Star Fox 2. Again rant over.... hopefully I'll finish the ruff layout for my game idea, Star Fox Lineage/Legacy (Still haven't decided on the name yet) which links the timeliness of Star Fox I, II with Star Fox 64 at some point before I get to bored with it.

...The implants and big pistol are just a bonus!!!! For some reason, having a holster tightly buckled to a woman's thigh is kinda hawt. It subconsciously tells the male, "this thigh is tone enough to strap gear to... would you like to strap your gear here, too?" Okay, well the second half of that is the male adding his own two cents to the subconscious thought, but just the same...

Very, very nice! You made her tail surprisingly long, but hey... I like long hair, so I'm sure if I was an anthro, I'd probably like long tails, too. LOL
And hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry about stuff. I won't go into details but I understand the situation. I've gone through it in 2005. I'm not the praying type - but I'll pray for strength for both sides. Here's to hoping that all is well and will be well and... STUFF! I shall say no more, as what little I've eluded too is probably already too much. So here's to the future! And that you make more great art! !!yAy!!

Yeah I'm a long-tail anthro fan...they should come to just about floor length when not held out behind them. I hate the stubby tail types -- especially foxes, which in life have beautifully large tails that are long enough to wrap around their body when they lay down.

Well, I still consider you and Joe both friends... and that's why I won't get in the middle or ask about details or anything else. I'm not sure if Tim is the same way, but he's certainly not said anything to me, which tells me he's being respectful about it. But, at the same time, I've been there... divorce and stuff. It sucks. Wulf51 once called my writing, "A sign of testicular fortitude" because I wrote some of my best, darkest and most emotional stuff while going through the aftermath of that crap. I'm still torn over her, four years later. But we also had two children together. My oldest boy still wants to know more about his brothers down in Tennessee... big messy yucky situation. BLAHxCORE.

After reading your response to my journal entry, went and looked at the link and this is simply beautiful as well. Frequently do searches on DeviantART for cute Fara art and this really shines brightly. Probably one of the best ever. Love the updated outfit, combined with the sexy yet tough-girl pose, along with the shading and colouring, plus the logo looks like an updated variant of the original, which makes it stand out very radiantly.
Nice that you mentioned Destructor, a good friend of a very good friend of mine, Kit Karamak, who's writing some of the best Star Fox stories out there; whereas Destructor is famous for taking the original Itoh manga and expanding on the storyline itself in a rather creative approach, similiar to what Kit is doing with some of his own works.
Anyway, this is just too good for further works to describe. I thank you for the spirit poured into making this artpiece.
