you're lucky to have captured such a clear shot of your rattie...I could never capture so much detail, and with such great lighting, with my late Zumi.
this would actually make a nice stock image, too!
The photo is very clear, shows great detail and shape of anatomical structures at that angle--a good example of Dumbo ears AND the direction and placement of rattie eyes that many people struggle with.
....on that note, may I have your permission to use this as a reference photo in a piece of my own? I'd credit you and Frannie, of course.
I'm not sure when I'll get around to it, but I wanted to make some designs for greeting cards or other simple things like that (maybe even submitting to Goosemoose, who knows), and Frannie is a great model.

That is so cute! Is she a hooded rat or something else? I've never seen ears like those before!

She's a dumbo! Her ears are set lower and are more open than a top-eared rat's would be. Her color is a mink blazed veribeck.
Mattie (in the linked photo) is a black hooded rat.

How adorable!!! I once had a rat--Mr. B.W. He was a wonderful, adorable, loveable pet. I have NO idea why people dislike rats, so. This is a very sweet picture. It causes me to miss my own little rat. Never have found another as wonderful as he was.
