This is my grandpa. He passed away today at 3:30. I couldn\'t let him just fade out of memory so I made this memorial. I regret not writing down all his stories from when his family first moved here to Canada. All I remember is bits and pieces. They had to live off beets for a whole summer while living under the canvas wagon, his brothers and him shot holes in his dad\'s brand new long johns (which was a big deal to have brand new anything back then I guess) when they thought it was a bear coming at them when they were home alone (their sister was in labour and his mom and dad went to help at their settlement), his mom getting chased by a wild moose while out looking for one of their cattle, how when he was in the army he broke his leg while skiing, and I can\'t forget the bear, when him and my grandma Adelaide went to visit his family up north. I really wish I could remember all the details. I thought he would be around to tell my two boys about grandpa\'s day. I really miss you grandpa
