So, set the scene: John’s just finished his first space mission - up to the Moon just like his Father, visiting Moonbase Shadow Alpha 1. Post-reentry the budding astronaut was given huge, ridiculous standard issue glasses to wear to correct for the temporary shift in atmospheric pressure in his eyeballs.
But for tiny little guppy Gordon, these are his big brothers clever nerd glasses. And so we have a lil tiny Gordo sitting faced with the horrifying concept of homework that his head just can’t doesn’t want to do. The kid steals the specs out of Johnny’s room, swiping them off the bedside cabinet while big brother is not paying attention and Gordon, creeping back, pushes them onto his nose in the hopes he’ll somehow magically channel John’s nerd-brain powers so that he can tackle his math.
They don’t help much, but the stumbly half-blind John who finds him ten minutes later while looking for his glasses does.
