Yeah I saw the winners... some people were a bit annoyed, but after Baby's new line came out we kinda understood.
The style was similar to what they were releasing, but obviously cuter.
Well I even entered for the Beat Girl Contest earlier and I lost and the winners drawing was alright. Everyone's opinoins were so-so. Although there was this other girl who submitted and should've won. Her drawings were just really well done!

Ha ha ha yeah, american translated manga is weird. Although sometimes they even censor things out.
Like you know what Funimation is doing right? They are making all the fan subbers to stop subbing for Soul Eater and other anime because they have the rights and stuff. It sucks because I don't like Funimation anyways, I feel they censor too much...

Why does Shojo Beat do that. I am sooooo sure that there are a ton of great artists that are not on DA that have these amazing skills but they will never EVER pick that drawing!
Also for the beat girl contest, its like the picked the one that sucked up to them the most...

I actually did like the Beat girl winner, but it was obviously done by someone who was a photoshop pro.
I think it should have been a tad more traditional art based.
That would have given a lot of artists a better oppurtunity.
Not everyone likes to use photoshop for their art. Although it is an amazing program... but still.-_-

Its like they might as well stamp sb on her forhead.

Well, ive seen artuist use both medias both traditional and digital and some that use digital and make things look traditional. It just depends on how one uses photoshop.

I can't believe a teacher would grade down for that.
One time one of my art teachers said that I drew a "beautiful drawing, any piece regularly utilizes the x-amount of concepts of art" or something liek that, and then she gave me a B-.
It made me mad.
That's the only art class I've ever gotten a B in.

yeah seriously I know what you mean. I've gotten Bs before in my art class but it was more of a Design class and working with tones and techniques and underdoing was a bad thing >.< But see when you think you did enough, the teacher just out smarts you with her own work, CRAZINESS!!!

This particular Art teacher was a bit depressing.
She was almost always depressed, and her art really reflected that.
It made me a little sad.
I'm taking a graphic design course right now, and it's broing the heck out of me.
I thought it would be more fun.

And then I got a D in PE...
And it made my GPA below a 3.0, and that made me really mad.
So now I work really hard at school, and I have about a 3.6.
Which makes me happy, and more eligible to get into a good college.:]
