...Christ...?I found the following sentence from my AP Euro textbook very funny:
"Throughout the nineteenth century, for example, Polish nationalists portrayed Poland as the suffering Christ among nations, thus implicitly suggesting that Poland, like Christ, would experience resurrection and a new life."
... Pfffft!
