Description
Breakdown is a DNA sample of a Neovan, a race of mostly robotic humanoids from the metropolis planet Neovisa. Breakdown has a silver and black paint job with green accent lighting. The Hexamatrix dial is built into his chest.

This alien is built to break. Quite literally. Breakdown has the ability to detach and independently control each of his body parts, such as launching his arm up to 500 feet. Breakdown possesses a small rocket engine in each of his joints, as well as two larger jets on the bottoms of his feet allowing him to fly. He can also extend his limbs up to 10 feet and can fire powerful infrared lasers from his eyes. If Breakdown is struck with sufficient force he will simply fall apart, though his body automatically reassembles quite rapidly. Breakdown’s kind, the Neovans aren’t completely robotic, most still retain an organic heart, brain and stomach. It’s the DNA from these organs that the Hexamatrix scanned, the robotic body is generated by the devices Biomech function, just like Metrodome’s braincase. In theory, Hijack could use the blueprints for Breakdown’s body.

As for weaknesses, Breakdown isn’t an overly strong transformation, more persistent than anything. Even though Breakdown can quickly reassemble himself, he will be unable to do so if an opponent isolates his head. Breakdown can only launch his body parts about 500 feet, at which point they will automatically return. Breakdown is vulnerable to high voltages and electromagnetic fields. If Breakdown gets electrocuted, his heart may stop and he will require a jump start from a car battery or another sufficient source of electricity. Though Breakdown can fly, he’s not as fast as either Lockheed or Gruffian, though he is more maneuverable than Lockheed.

Breakdown and the Neovan’s designs are inspired by one of my favorite cartoons growing up, Astroboy.
