If he died in Majora's Mask.... Which he didn't (Side note he actually isn't a stalfos and if he was he would need to be older than that. Because Kids become Skull Kids when they die in the forest)

The wounded innocence in this picture is captured really well. Β I also like the anime style you illustrated Link with in this. Β It really seems to fit the game really well. Β Job well done!

beautiful use of color and light!
and with all that fell on Link's shoulders, I'd say he's more than entitled to his times of quiet sadness (and then he gets a hug, because oh boy does he need one!)

Yes, a hug would be a very good thing. It's nice he finally got one from Cremia, but he deserves more than one hug for everything he does and has to go through!

Heartbreaking, and very powerful. You added just enough light to express sadness, thought, worry and loneliness. The lighting speaks for itself.

Aww :3
Yeah, I think so too. He was an outcast all his childhood, no real family (besides Saria, and the Deku Tree who died ;.; ) then he had a huge amount of responsibility dumped on him when he was only 9 or 10. Then his closest friend abandoned him. And then he has to find a way to live out his lost childhood with the mind-scarring memories of a future that only he knows about in a world where he has no place anymore since he stopped what he was destined to do (fight Ganon) from ever needing to happen. That would certainly have a strong effect on a little kid =C
Which is why I think Majora's Mask is really important to the story, at least if you care about Link at all. I think that during it he learns important life lessons, makes self-discoveries, and goes on to live happily ever after because of it.

Yes, he's my favorite too, I do feel like we know him very well. Maybe staring in two full 3D console games helps with that, haha xD He definitely has a personality, sure it's not like the personalities of speaking characters, but he reacts to things, he expresses fear/worry, surprise, happiness, sadness, embarrassed-ness. It's not to the degree that more recent Link's do, but it's enough to define a personality, and one that's different from other Links and other characters. So yes :3
I think that, just going by what occurs in the game, that Zelda has some sense of the events of the other timeline but doesn't remember them like Link who experienced them. "Even though it was only a short time, I feel like I've known you forever." But I'm sure she believed what he told, it probably sounded familiar to her, like when you can almost remember a dream, or have deja vu. I don't know about the sages, they won't become sages because Ganondorf didn't kill their predecessors (which is why the sages in TP aren't the same seen in OoT and on TWW's windows, I guess?) but they might still have some sense of the events too. But who knows, really. Well, Nintendo does, but they aren't telling, so all we can do is guess.

Hehe it does help to have two games to star in. See, I've loved what they've done with (most of) the later Links' personalities, and so part of me wishes they would make another game with our Hero of Time. But then again, I don't know what else they could do with the story in his timeline. So I was pretty happy we at least got to play through Ocarina again, and hopefully Majora's Mask too! I like his quieter, more subdued personality. He had it fleshed out more in MM for sure (do you remember in the title movie where he's seen around parts of Clock Town sitting and swinging his little feet? SO CUUUTE ).
Ooh, I like that take on Zelda's memory, that it was more of a dream to her. That's interesting; I haven't thought of it that way before. I'd like to think the Sages remembered like Zelda did, if only because it's better fodder for fanfiction Sometimes I have a hard time seeing the connections of the legends between games, but that's all the more reason to replay them, right? Yes, they're not telling. *sulking* But I would love to be some sort of pretend Hyrulian scholar trying to figure all of it out, if I had the time. Maybe someday

It would be kind of neat to see a game set a few years after MM, Link would be like 13, we could see how he's doing, probably owning everything that moves cause he's so pro... yeah, it might be hard to make another game with him just because he's so skilled, what could possibly challenge him? He stopped Ganondorf, so they had to step it up and give him 3 days to stop the moon from falling, I'm not sure there could be a challenge anymore that he wouldn't yawn at xD
(yes that movie is really cute x3 they added some cute animations for him, the little shrug at the audience in the beginning, and how he smiles and runs over to Epona... he's too adorable)
That would be cool! Write down your ideas for how the games fit together and how things happen between them, maybe you can post it somewhere? Or you could use it for a fanfic perhaps
