Description (edit) suggested I add some light reflection on the bottom of the pond/lagoon. I also added some shadow on the tail
Finally finished!

A while back requested I do a Koi Mermaid, I hope you like it, Hon'!
I am really happy with how this came out

wow she is stunning!
the only crit i can give is that her forehead is a little high up...and the hair is too thin on the top of her head....(i know it was proberly correct according to the stock photo...but you dont have to keep it exact, its often necessary to really change it :3)errm its difficult to explain, ill draw what i mean [link] i know its tricky to determine the top of her skull when the photo hasnt got the top of her head in it
maybe just draw a strand of hair going down infront of her face, like how it is behind her, but infront of her....just across her forehead; this will make the head seem less rounded/big also the tiny hairs should be floating up like the other hair...

i know my explanations are rubbish but i hope it helps :3 although it isnt that important, the picture is fine without the changes, i just think that would make it perfect ^_^

I see what you mean about more hair/head over to the side.
Actually, there are lots of tiny strands, you just can't see them because the display isn't at full resolution. If you full-view this...you can see them [link]

OMG Leeanne, this is absolutely stunning REally nice under water effect, and the koi scales are beautiful I like how everything looks so soft, and the sunlight is well done too. I'm looking at this on my crap computer @ work, but I can't wait to see this when I get home on the mac! I think what I like best about it is how realistic and truly 'underwater' the image looks. I love this!!!

I can really tell - I was going to add I liked how you made her eyes a lighter color, somehow that made more sense, too

One day I want to do koi in some fashion, I'd love to do half as well as this
