What's funny is that Springtrap in the actaul game just gets wants to be closer to the player and examine him because he can recognized the night guard. In fact phantom Mangle and the the marrionette also behave this way as well. Those animatronics and the Nightguard are connected. But it's not my job to give you the answers.

What's funny is that it's a part of an alternate universe, clearly the basics are the same, but it doesn't have much to do with the original story.
Also, i have my own headcanons [my comic(s)], so i don't consider it as the "answer" but it's not my job to force my version on you

I'm pointing out one of biggest misconceptions in fnaf3 because it looked like a typical fanart of springtrap at first. Since I'm not aware how your au springtrap acts like outside of the forgiveness comic.

Au's do get really confusing especially when the artist has his own AU and is drawing someonelse's AU. I really wasn't trying to place my theory on here but I was trying to talk something I've notice that makes the drawing extremely different from the original property.

It's not really a head cannon. Springtrap doesn't even lay a finger on you in his jumpscare, just looking at you. Remember that fnaf is a horror and mystery series. Some details may seem worthless but they can be clues that something is off. The nightgaurd in fnaf3 surprisingly knows a lot about the animatronics, even the withered ones. Like how did he know to check the camerias, close the vents, and distract the animatronics with human sounds? It's almost like he was prepared... There's headcannons and then there is strange stuff like this I've notice. Calling my speculation a head cannon is like calling an investigation a fan fiction. Because unlike head cannons, I can actually prove my claims.
