This is for the contest. [link] The theme of the contest was to change/revamp a part of the Legend of Zelda series. Whether it was a story, character, temple or boss. I chose to revamp Bongo Bongo as I felt there was alot that could be done. Bongo Bongo being the boss of the Shadow temple (which, if you havnt played Ocarina of Time is the creepiest temple ever)

A mini backstory bubbled away in my mind as I drew this:
A long time ago... There was a man in this very village who had an eye they said could see the truth! Now usually, you have to train your mind's eye most strenuously to actually see the truth... But this fella, no, they say he had a different way of doing things... His house stood where the well is now..."

But no one knew of what happened to that man, he saw the truth but the power to do so, drove him slowly into a dark solitude. In his time of weakness he became consumed by a dark force (the ghost form of Bongo Bongo) which used him as a vessel to grow and consume the good within him. He started to use his powers against the innocent people of Kakariko Village. Eventually he was locked away in the temple of the graveyard as many worried he would become unstoppable.

He sank into an almighty rage and slowly twisted into a horrid demon. The boss of the shadow temple.

He was named Bongo Bongo because of his various attempts to break free from the Temple. The slams could be heard throughout the village. There was a dark aura to the temple and it was renamed the Shadow Temple. The Sheika of Kakariko Village made an oath to the Royal Family that they would protect the doorway, and make sure no one could enter.
