something I've really taken note of as I've practiced my style and anatomy is the difference in timing between how I used to draw and how I draw now. sketching alone takes me much more than an hour, and when you throw in lining and color it's suddenly more work than what I bargained for. but I know the only way to adjust to this new drawing pattern is to keep at it, and over time i'll be able to cut my drawing time. sketching is a lot harder and more tedious when you start taking anatomy into account.

He is my scalesona yesss, and because I don't share much about characters i'll enlighten you about him.
He lives in a forest that is literally autumn; forever, except in winter all the leaves fall off and the snow comes. When winter comes, he dies with the forest- and comes back to life in the spring. just like jesus The local villagers come and bring him gifts and look to him for guidance because he's nice to them and has been around for a rly long time. They make a ritual for him and bury his bones in the ground in the winter, and wait for him to come out of the ground once again in the spring.

His forest is p big; it connects to a beach, plains, and a mountain range. He hunts at the oasis beach a lot, he has a neck pouch specifically for catching fishies. He hunts like a kingfisher, but also has good climbing claws for travelling in the trees and gobbling up birdies. He'll hunt a deer or two as well if he needs to, but that's usually the last option. His long wings and tail fins make him a gr8 flyer, he's agile and speedy in the airrr woosh

he can also fold his neck in like a crane or a swan, and he's got a thin dino-like snoot for catching fish. Most of his design is focused around camo in the forest he lives in, he blends in extremely well so finding him is rly difficult- which is why he's been around so long. What's funny though is that he's still relatively young for a draggo.

and lastly, his fire breath is bluuuueeeeee <333 so he has very very hot fire, to the point where he can also shoot electricity but it's harder for him to accomplish. Either way after European settlers tried many times to kill him he always drove them out, which is why the indigenous people think he's a chill dude. The land he lives in is rich with wildlife and resources, he loves his home and if u fucc with it boi u gonna get burned
