well, i saw this raven in my back yard for 30 min...just standing there, staring at me, so i took a picture of it...and what do u know, right when a camera was pointed at it, it looked away from me...what a weird ass bird...Related content

Ravens are incredibly smart
they are believed to have enough brainpower to learn languages, but i have yet to see a raven do anything more than immitate common words (like a parrot)

Ravens are amazing. I was looking at pics of Ravens to edit. I'm writing a book, and one of my character's name is "Raven Bloodpool", so I'm going to edit the pic so that it is in a grey background with blood pooling beneath it.... *grin* Emo, I know!

It's still a really good picture even if the raven is looking away. Did you have a zoom on the camera or was the raven close?

Wow, the ravens must be pretty tame where you are to get so close. All the birds where I am will leave at the slightest sound, they've had too many kids and cats chasing them.

Ravens will do that... They actually see at an angle between straight on and to the side. They're possibly the most intelligent of all birds and most likely decided to turn his head for a better picture. Ravens aren't cute straight on...
