Description
On the beach at Vik in southern Iceland. I love these wonderful black beaches. Reynisdrangar are basalt sea stacks under the mountain Reynisfjall near Vik.Legend says that the stacks originated when two trolls dragged a three-masted ship to land unsuccessfully and when daylight broke they became needles of rock.
The dots in the sky are sea birds. There are many puffins and other birds here.

Bleak and nearly monochromatic (aside from the hint of green) gives me a somber mood, and yet the touch of brightness across the middle also gives me hope. Wonderful composition of a rugged coast.
