Description A deserted village near Cill Chriosd on the Isle Of Skye. This is the one remaining building still standing. In the background is the mighty Blaven (Bla Bheinn) wearing it's winter coat.Β 
I have not been able to find the full story of this place. It may have been connected to the marble works which have long gone. It may have been connected to the nearby church which is also in ruins. Either way the people moved on and the buildings were left to fall into ruins.Β

im not sure but I think it was 19th century and was related to the marble works that used to be here.Β

Ah yes
it is not that old though
I am pretty sure now that this village was connected to the now non existent marble works that were in this area.

There are two other deserted villages in this area but further away which I believe are a result of the clearances.
