Wow! Umm...well, when you are shooting macros, the thing that helps most is light placement. When I take photos of flowers, if there is something lighter than the blossom in the backdrop, the lighter object takes the focus away from the flower. If I turn my camera slightly and remove the lighter object in the background, the flower then collects the entire focus of the shot.
Try angling the lens slightly, this way and that, take 3-4 shots of each blossom or what have you and see what you get! It truly is trial and error at first.
