I can say that she's definitely inspired by Hatsune Miku, but that pink hair makes her look more like MIO from Rogue Galaxy. Ironically just like Hatsune Miku, MIO is also an idol. Unfortunately MIO was annoying as hell, and I seriously doubt even a stake through the heart would've shut her up.This was the first time I used a technical pencil for the lineart. It's way better than the usual marker pencils, even though it's a high maintenance tool and the 0.18 size causes it to be prone to jamming. The colouring was done by hand with basic colour pencils and a bit of gel pen.

First of all, great concept! The white frame is a nice idea, although I think it would've looked better had you not drawn those.. shatters to cover the white space, too. That way, I think you could've made the background look like a mirror or something.
You have also done good job with the pose, and I have to disagree with a previous comment you got, and say I really like the side profile better in this one. As the title suggests, shatters are in the spotlight in this piece, and you really did a magnificent job drawing those. Very detailed and skilled.
Now there is, however, something you could've done better. The greatest "problem" is the light source. Using yellow for the bg works well with the other colors, but it strongly feels like a light source. Now, your character has very little shading, especially in the viewer's side. If the bg truly is a light source, you should have far stronger shading, and also some back light effect for her (use brighter color near the line art).
On the other hand, if the light source is elsewhere, you could've done shadows on her (and the shattered surface) where her hair and ribbons overlap.
Anyway, I think your style becomes better drawing after drawing. Especially liked the clothes and the detailed decorations on 'em. Keep it up!

Well, the yellow background isn't a light source. The background is mostly just a filler because the character wasn't interesting enough on her own.
I have a hard time working with colours and light sources since I tend to colour everything one piece at a time, instead of working with the picture as a whole. I don't have the same problem when drawing in black and white though.
Yeah, I've noticed that most of my new works tend to be a bit better than the previous ones. But there are still too many flaws and mediocrity to attract more attention. I've worked quite a bit with the shape of the body lately, and I think I'm getting a bit better slowly but surely.

The shattered is really awesome, once I've tried to draw a shattered mirror and it became a piece of s**t. Does that area in yellow means something?
Her hair is pretty. <3 The design resembles Miku a tiny little bit, but even with it she is a new char that you created.
I love your light-and-shadow effects and your details, they're truly amazing.

The yellow colour on the background doesn't have any significant meaning, but there is a reason I used yellow. It's because of the colour balance. As you can see, there's some yellow on the detailing of her clothes. And every one colour should be found from at least two places, and those two are the details and the background. Simple right? Another reason is that yellow goes well together with vermillion, which is the opposing colour of blue that is the dominant colour of the background.
But unfortunately this work isn't without it's flaws. As Samirai said, the legs don't have enough shape and curves. Her chest on the other hand has just too clear shape, as it should be just a bump. Also her skin is too light and monotone, and the eye lacks detail in comparison to her clothes.
You know, since you've been kind enough to comment so often, I could draw some picture for you as a thanks. If you come up with a good idea that you'd like to see drawn at some point, I could try to draw it for you. No need to hurry though, take you time to think of something.
Just remember that I'm really not the best artist out there, so try to think of something that I actually can draw.

I got it. I never knew this kind of stuff, like, which color suits better with another one. But you had a really nice idea. It should have taken you some time to finish.
Every drawings have it's qualities and flaws. You've done your best to draw that pic, and even if it's with flaws you should be very proud of it, or so I think. I sucks at anatomy too, so don't worry, you're not the only one. LOL Have you ever tried using light orange for the skin? I used to use the light pink, but then I started with the orange and the effect is pretty nice. I see nothing wrong with her eyes. For me it's absolutelly normal to draw an eye as it should be and then draw the clothing with everything you want too. I think that a super detailed eye confuses the character's face.

I like drawings with feathers, wings and CLAMP related, like X/1999, CCSakura and Rayearth. Y'know, the shoujo series type. XD

Light orange eh? Well, I've never thought about that. I've always used light pink and Madder Lake Pink for the skin because it's a safe choise. It's difficult to use other colours since I'm afraid that it'll start to look weird if I get too "creative".
I've got two unfinished drawings at the moment, so when I get those two done, I can start planning something for you. Okay, so correct me if I'm wrong, and tell me if there's something I missed.
The drawing you'd like to see should be something pure and angelic with wings and feathers. But do you want the character to be gentle and graceful, or more like a dark fallen angel? And is there anything special you'd like to see in it, like a special detail or accessory or something?
I just want it to be as good as possible since this time I'm not drawing just for myself.

Yep. It's basically the same, but I like it better. Do a sketch, just for fun, and then color with the light orange, the result is usually pretty good. ~

You've got the perfect idea of what I want, really. XD I prefer the fallen angel type, but if you come out with a better idea you can do it the way as you please.

Koska tuossa on niin paljon hyvää, etten jaksa luetella, niin sanon vain jutut jotka kaipaa kehitystä:
Reidet ei kapene läheskään tarpeeksi nilkkaa kohti, periaatteessa saisivat alkaa myös paksummin polven kohdalta. Nuo siun jalat on toisin sanoen hiukan liian pötköt.
Oot varjostanu rintaa liikaa. En nyt ihan varma sivuprofiilin perusteella ole, minkälainen asu on kyseessä, mutta bewbsien ei pitäs sivusta katsottuna oikeastaan minkäänlaisessa varjostuksessa olla kuin kohouma, eikä todellakaan tollanen selvä ääriviivallinen ilmapallo
Ihoon selvempiä värisävyjä kiitos. Kyllä sen erottaa, että sieltä on varjostettu, mutta miusta siun tyyliin sopii vahvat varjot, jotka myös tuo esiin siun hyvää silmää valotukselle.
Silmät on edelleen liian yksinkertaisia verrattuna muuhun työhön. Muu työ huokuu yksityiskohtia ja kaikkea pientä näppärää ja sitten silmä on tollanen parin värin läntti naamassa.

No sinäpäs löysit aivan tolkuttoman suuren lastin noita virheitä.
Jalat taitaa tosiaan olla vähän turhan pönköt, etenkin (tai juuri siksi) koska kengät peittää nilkat. Ehkä mun pitäis saada aikaan enemmän kurveja, mut siinä on iso riski että ne menee sit yli toisesta ääripäästä.
Noh, nuo vaaleat ihon varjostukset selitän sillä että kuva on yleissävyltäänkin vaalea. Sitäpaitsi Madder Lake Pinkillä värjätessä tulee helposti epätasaisuutta ja repaleisuutta mikäli sitä käyttää liikaa (kuten edellisessä Red Sunissa näkyy). Voin kyllä myöntää etten voi käyttää vahvoja varjostuksia puukynillä läheskään yhtä rohkeasti ja tehokkaasti kuin lyijäreillä.
Tosiaan, mainitsit noista silmistä jo aiemminkin. Olisko sulla sitten mitään parannusehdotuksia? Onko vika itse silmässä vaiko ripsissä? Neuvoja neuvoja kiitos. Kerro miten virhe korjataan niin koitan tehdä jatkossa paremman.

Joo älä luule etten pidä tuosta työstä, satuinpa vain nyt just tästä löytämään noita siun ongelmakohtia eniten. Ookko aatellu esim. ihonväriks jotain tummempaa? Sehän voisi olla myös vaaleanruskea tai jotain. Isseä tosiaan häiritsee toi kun vaatteet on niin selvästi varjostettu ja sitten iho luo siihen vähän liianki suuren kontrastin.
Jalkojen ei luulis olevan siulle kovin vaikeat loppupeleissä. Mutta tosiaan tollanen tasapaksuus ei ole oikein, jalkojen alaosan ollessa kuitenkin aina selvästi ohuempi.
Ja tosiaan silmät kaipais sekä valotusta, että varjostusta enemmän, ripsiin ei miusta tarvi koskea, mutta kaikkeen niiden sisällä enemmän yksityiskohtia. En halua että menetät omaa tyyliäs, mutta katselepas deviantartin puolelta sellaset käyttäjät kuin hizuki24, emperpep ja meago. Yksinkertasia silmiä, mutta silti mukavan eläväisiä

Noista sun ehdottamista artisteista vain emperpep on mulle entuudestaan tuttu, mutta kyseisen artistin koko muu tyylikin tukeekin aika hyvin yksinkertaisia ja söpöjä silmiä. Mutta minäpä tarkistan noi muut ja katon jos oppisin jotain siinä samalla. Omat suosikkiartistit on kyllä edelleen redjuice999 ja laverinne.
Niin tosta ihonväristä vielä sen verran että en oikein uskalla käytää siinä vaaleita perusvärejä enempää. 
Ja kyllähän ne jalat on loppupeleissä hankalat piirtää. Minähän en ole oikein koskaan osannu piirtää ihmisiä, mutta yritän kyllä.

It looks awesome. For some reason I don't get the Hatsune Miku reference, but then again I hardly know anything about the character.
In other news colours look great, the amount of detail is impressive and that black sun/orb balances the picture quite nicely. Though I would have hoped that the character looked towards the viewer.

Thanks. Well she reminds me of Hatsune Miku because of those ridiculously long ponytails, and because she's also a singer (the microphone). Her hair colour is funnily enough the exact opposite of Miku's.
The white frame however reminds me of those white old-school MTG cards.
Yup, it might've been better if the character faced the viewer. I just wanted to try a different perspective, but it's really difficult to create a link between the character and the viewer if the character isn't facing the viewer.
I might not have the skills required to do that just yet, but ya can't blame a man for tryin'.
