The chinchilla is mounted on a wood slice that I have cutted from a cherry tree in the woods around my home.
The wood slice is decorated with real moss and other natural elements.

What is needle felting?
Needle-felting is the art of sculpting wool with special barbed needles. Stabbing the wool over and over again meshes the wool fibers together, creating a firm object.
