I can't help but think of this song when ever I look at this picture www.youtube.com/watch?v=S98Q11… ahah the title is kind of derived from the song ( the songs lyrics are also strangling fitting for what she dealt with in early life) XD Really helps that Juliana actually IS a goddess ahaha. But yeah here's a lil portrait of her, I was trying to get a bit of practice in with her. pale skin can be annoyingly difficult o_e. You'd think it wouldn't be but it's soooo deceptive

I'm so glad somebody agrees with me on this Everyone else I've talked to is always 'dark skin is so harrrrrd to paint' and I'm just like 
Darker skin isn't easy per se but it's definitely easier to get a wider range of tones and colours in. With pale skin everything always looks so over saturated

I think it depends on rather the skin tone is warm or cool .I find cooler dark skin tones really hard, the warmer ones not so much. Same with lighter tones too. Pale skin tends to be a cooler tone so it makes it difficult D;. I guess it something about balancing all the colors out so they dont look washed out and dried out>,<
