Description "Bow-ties are cool!"

This is one of my more recent sketches and definitely a new favourite! I have just started watching Doctor Who, and I really love Matt Smith! This one took me 3 hours, and I used an HB, 2B, 4B, 8B + Black Pencil Crayon, as well as a small paintbrush for the shading. Here's the reference picture

Haha, Thank you! I actually used a woodless black pencil crayon in order to get the shadows really dark. I find that with an 8B or 9B it doesn't get as dark as I want, and after awhile the graphite doesn't stick to the page. So I tried using a black pencil crayon, and it works wonders! I used the same technique on the Andrew Garfield drawing that I have, if you want to check it out
