I got another theory here:
James wanted to be humen again for himself, So he looks for the book so he can be humen,
So he can escape from anti curse.
Until anti finds out what was james been up to, So she decide burn the book so james couldn't be humen again
and that's why he can't escape from anti-laukku curse.
