I opened digital commissions up a few months ago, and is is one of the resulting pieces. This gave me so much grief, and honestly if I took commissions again I would make them much, much more expensive because spending so much time and agony on something for what feels like a pittance...Overall I'm rather happy with this, although he did manage to pick the thumbnail with the worst composition (and I did therefore manage to make said composition even worse!). The full image is [link] I managed to draw it so that it resizes quite poorly.

The problem with digital, for me, is that it gives me too much of an excuse to be perfect. The uniformity and crispness of the canvas and the lines I put on it, the vast tracts of unblemished colour, are almost entirely contrary to the kind of frenzied, wild markmaking I tend towards in real media. I need to learn to chill out and loosen up, or I will never learn to actually paint in this medium.

(P.S. Those belly scutes are positively screwed, and since I'm no longer open for commissions, redlines or help in that department would be absolutely appreciated.)
