A lovely head shot! He looks like he might be Welsh/American Shetland cross. Both pony breeds are excellent mounts for young riders. The American Shetlands will always be held in high esteem by me. They have incredible stamina, speed and agility...not to mention- gaits. I'm speaking from experience here after owning one reg. 42" American Shetland, that not only served my little girl from the age of two to six, as first...a friend, a teacher and excellent competition pony who won numerous awards in halter, road hack, trail classes and western pleasure. Not only did she do that, but also competed in an endurance ride of 50 miles. I can't say enough for this breed.

I do have to mention, pony's reputations are like the Pit Bull Terriers, "they are what you teach them...or don't."

This pony wouldn't be a good mount, I doubt xD Taking a picture of it was such a pain because it thought we were trying to catch it so it kept running away lol

I don't know actually, I went to the stable for the day but didn't ask to much on the horses but I'll most likely be going back soon so I'll ask when I go

xD This pony was such a pain lol, then again all ponies are. I wanted a photo of his eye (what photographer wouldn't?!?!) but he kept showing me his other eye which was normal and then would run off and look weird in photos that I got his eye in so I was so happy to get this xD
