This is an outstanding work.
Your pencil touch is delicate, or is it the pastels or probably the combination. Softness here, and sharp lines there, both just where it seems the two techniques-in-one have to be.
I like this a lot.

its Anabell Lee, Poe's last poem. it was writtten in 1849 and published later that year 2 days after his death. it explores the theme of the death of a beautiful woman. the narrator, who fell in love with Annabel Lee when they were young, states that angels envious at his love for her caused the girl's death. he keeps his love for her even after her death and since then, he has spent night after night at her tomb. when you read it it sounds like waves moveing back and forth and has a musical touch to it. its one of my favorites by him.

Ah yes, I think that's the one I remember. In that same one is there another woman who I think he married after her death (if memory serves me right...this was years ago) but he doesn't like her? Or am I thinking of another one? (it's been FAR too many years since I read Poe.)
