check the title of the series- these are Egyptian gods...though this is the first one I've actually linked up symbolically. any other use of actual Egyptian Glyphs/symbolism will probably be more subtle than this though...Mostly they're linked in only the fact that they're animal headed humans (not unique to Egyptian gods, granted) but they'll have little individual back stories too, and most of them will be related in some way, as deities in many pantheons are.
