This is a beautiful cat portrait. I really love how you make the background dark and really make the silhouette of the animal stand out. Beautiful job. Well done!

Sometime, you'll have to provide a tutorial of some kind to achieve this effect. Its awesome

I'm glad you like it! This is really the result of lowering the exposure of the photo as a whole, and simply increasing it selectively to the subject. In particular the eyes need to be brightened quite a bit. I used adobe lightroom 2.0 and photoshop CS4.
