This year, for the second time in my life, my birthday is on Easter. The first time, in 1950, wasn't the greatest day in the world because I'd had a tonsillectomy on Good Friday (this is one of my earliest memories).So how to celebrate? Bake a birthday cake? Color some Easter eggs? Or combine the two and get a birthday egg? Here's the result, a fractal birthday egg. This uses a highly-modified version of Gnarly Glyphs and a conformal mapping function.

Hi Laramide,
My bday was just last week also... it sometimes falls on Easter, but hasnt since 1970... Dont know when it will again. I remember my tonsillectomy in 1963... nasty. But I got to stay home from school for two weeks, and eat ice cream and jello and chicken soup. I dont think it did me any other good though. ... nice egg, but I really like the snowflake stuff best.

Well, happy birthday to us! My mom's birthday is on 24 April. My goddaughter and the daughter of the former cow-orker who was in the next cubicle to mine for years before I retired are on the 24th, too.
I'm just as glad I can barely remember my tonsillectoy, since I was only three. I'm pretty sure I bounced back fairly quickly, but my mom says I tried to stretch out the ice cream part....
Incidentally, I googled for 'Easter calender' and found a list of dates for the entire century.

It's the 16th, and that means my Aunt's birthday is on easter also. Double the fun I guess at where ever we go for the easter egg hunt. Happy birthday for you on your birthday.
