The g in Lyngen is softened roughly into y from the English "yes".The name of the mountain range is pronounced roughly as "lynn-yen".
Last glimpse of the sunlit Sultiden, before we continued on our journey.
View from the coast of Kjosen (Isfjord) at Tytebærneset, north at the nearby mountains.
Kjosen or Isfjord as we call it, is a branch of Ullsfjorden, between the two parts of Lyngen.
This large mountain with a wide cliffy ridge is the southern side of Sultinden (1 083 m).
The dark stretch of trees in front of it is the lowermost part of the Tyteærtinden slope.
Behind Sultinden seen from here is the mountain Tverrelvdalstindane (1 070 m).
