Description
Citrakayah is a word in ancient Sanskrit which means "variegated body". This is the way the ancients called one of the most beautiful animals on the planet and it is also the origin of the word Cheetah in modern English.
Hi. Today is December 4th, the International Cheetah Day. On this day every year artists from around the globe unite and publish their Cheetah-related art here, on dA, in an effort to raise awareness about the species' critical necessity of protection for sake of one simple thing - survival.
As some of you surely know, Cheetahs are a remarkable member of the Big Cat family, unique among its cousins, and also the fastest land animal on Earth. Some of you may also know that it is an endangered species with a world population of only 10-12 thousands. They need protection in order to survive. It is up to us.
Read more about Cheetahs on the Cheetah Concervation Fund official site.

You've got some really great drawing and this one is my favorite. The light is the eyes really makes it I also like how the background is covered with spots too! Good work!
