Description Same character. But this time I've had her stand up.
Connoisseurs of 2CV's will know that the car tilts quite a bit when you sit on it. That is the case here as well.

Enjoy!

The car model is really lovely!

Particularly that typical 60ies colour is a great touch!

And your Twiggy double looks quite cute too!

Very nie Twiggy image. Including her match-like legs

About that PS Beast in the background: A good friend back in school had one... it was kind of amazing and not. You could repair everything yourself and the shockabsorbers made every little bump in the road to a cool experience. But so little comfort inside. Even worse than any military vehicle I ever was in... kind of a french "Kübelwagen"

LapinDeFer In reply to mb109-da [2020-01-24 07:39:55 +0000 UTC]

The Kübelwagen is Beetle based - right?

Citroën made the Mehari, which was based on the upgraded 2CV chassis, which was also used in the Dyane. Things we all know...

I would never have thought of the Kübelwagen if you haven't mentioned it - and in the end, the internet is a wonderful resource.

Just like it is the cat's keyboard and bed.

I get the 'secret weapon' thing.

The patience of dogs to smaller animals, like a cat, or to small children, is great. Until it gord too far and they place a big paw somewhere on the offending creature, and if more is necessary, you get the growling.

My model is by Guillaume Rivière, and I found it on www.dmi-3d.net/modelscar4.html

Unfortunately, the link for this particular model seems to be dead now (I had the model for upwards of 10 years). But there are so many other great free car models on the DMI page.

You can simply do this:

Import LWO to Poser
Export OBJ from Poser
Import OBJ to DS
Texture at leasure and render.

So you've never driven a 2CV?

Ehliasys In reply to LapinDeFer [2020-01-22 09:56:13 +0000 UTC]

Nope - I'm a Beetle man.

LapinDeFer In reply to Ehliasys [2020-01-22 12:16:41 +0000 UTC]

The suspension is quite particular in a 2CV, and unlike any VW. Just remember that it was designed to carry four people and 50kg of goods at 30mph, across muddy and unpaved roads and to take a basket of eggs unbroken over a ploughed field...
...show me a beetle which can do that!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ehliasys In reply to LapinDeFer [2020-01-22 13:38:32 +0000 UTC]

And you could probably rock a baby to sleep with it.

I doubt that the design of the beetle was focused on egg transport. It was more of an "a-car-for-every-German" thing.

LapinDeFer In reply to Ehliasys [2020-01-22 19:30:56 +0000 UTC]

Precisely on both counts.

Hitler wanted a car for the industrial workers. Citroën built one for the farmers.

And maybe she is not quite heavy enough for this tilt, but then I've always maintained that exaggeration increases understanding.
