Description Previous Aivazovsky imitation was so enjoyable to paint, I thought I indulge myself a bit more. So, the next morning I painted this one. As the paint wasn't even dry yet, a friend walks in, sees the painting, and says: I want to buy that. To which I replied: Suits you, sir. The fastest painting ever to sell by me. Also, almost the only one.

Thanks! Natural things are fun to paint. No strict lines or geometry. A millimeter, or a shade, here or there doesn't make much difference. As long as it works somehow as the whole.

Thanks! It's painted with acrylics, on canvas, sized about 56x41 cm.

About 4 hours. I don't know how long people in average take on a painting, but I'm constantly amazed how much quicker my painting with acrylics is compared to drawing with pencils. If I would try anything similar with color or graphite pencils, it would easily take 10-15 hours, on a smaller paper.

Yeah I know the feeling. If I can finish a pice in one go I usually put it off or keep yelling myself that I will finish it later lol but I think 4 hours is a good time for a detailed art piece like this. I like using ink and watercolors but I should get back into acrylics and oils just cos they are fun to work with.
