I actually don't think this one was sad but who can say this surely except the deer itself? The mating season is over, their antlers wont last long anymore and the testosteron level decreases now, so maybe this moment was one of these apathetic moments every male deer goes through every year. They become cuddly and very calm after the mating season, usually the deer in this park string together besides the fence and hope for some humans to pet them, it's very cute
