Description The "official" Tali reveal in ME3 was quite a.. disappointment, so I made my version of my own Tali headcanon. I'm not saying this should be the official Tali and everyone else is wrong, but it's how I think she looks under the suit.

Go to my blog to read about the geeky reasoning behind the quarian looks if you're interested.

Good lord, this is absolutely 100x better! I love the subtle details to break up the more familiar and human aspects of the face. That was a creative opportunity that was missed in the actual game. Honestly, there is a lot in ME3 that feels rushed, and I think the game suffers for it. I hope you don't mind if I accept this as my head cannon as well!

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning!
Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental
hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the
staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so
they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the
machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on
a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you
and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and
she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste
this to ten comments in the next ten minutes you will have the best day of your life tomorrow. You
will either get kissed or asked out, if you break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room

When you think about it, having aspirated sinus' like that makes sense from a biological standpoint and makes it all the more necessary for Quarians to have those suits.  Definitely approve of your design, Tali is a total cutiepie.

Well the art is quite impressive and your argument about Tali or quarians in general looking like this is a very sound argument. However, I do believe that quarians having less human characteristics and more alien type characteristics those would not necessarily be true. I would like to point this out by elaborating on your statement about the physical characteristics of the quarians like the cuts mentioned in this line " The 'cuts’ and lines on her face are like a super efficient cooling system and they pretty much cover the whole body as well, keeping quarians from overheating but also saving them from having to sweat all the time..." because even for biological purposes humans or at least if ever we encounter human like creatures living in hot places similar to the Sahara dessert on earth , which would be around  48°C, do not need such biological adaptation to cool off, given that "Sweating would suck in that suit" we can pressume maybe the cuts are necessary, on the other hand they are an advance race and they could have made a tech that allows them to cool off even without the cuts. Now on to the skin color. The skin color is pretty convincing if not more plausible than the one given by Biower. However, given the time they have been on that suit and living on a spaceship with little to no sun light (probably) would have drastically made them pale looking as skin pigmentation depends on the amount of sunlight the skin gets in contact with (refer to sciences I cannot quote because the explanation is to long). However, given that it would impede their physical abilities to not have sunlight (No vitamin D naturally produced) it would mean that they would replicate at least some sort of light that can produce the same results as being exposed to the sun then the skin color is highly plausible. Now on to the hair I do not know if the suit would hinder quarians to grow hair but the fact is that the suit design concept matches the headdresses used by Muslims (no offence intended to anyone) I would say Talia having hair is not to far fetched of an idea. I believe that quarians having more human features is not a pretty far off the bat and in fact might be more plausible than we think them be.

Perfect. Now I can stop griping to people on how Tali's face reveal looked completely...unjustified. Though they're human-looking, there has to be some distinct feature that makes quarians look different from humanity. Wonderful job.

If I could be any alien species from the Mass Effect universe, it would be Quarian. I love their story and culture, so I was disappointed when they gave such a richly detailed race a Photoshopped google picture for a face and called it the canon representation of what they looked like. You've given them a face I can appreciate. I love them even more now.

I love how this looks, but it needs some more "feminine" look, try making the forms of the face softer, it looks more like a gender-bender Tali currently. Maybe when you release the male, I'll see the differences more

She's feminine enough for me. I'm not a fan of the idea that every woman (human or not) should have soft features to be seen as feminine.

alright XD I just know that there are societal norms of what people recognize as feminine verse masculine, I was giving my 2 cents design as you wish. (granted, most of my knowledge comes from watching Face Off XD)

According to official canon, quarians are extremely human looking, especially in terms of facial appearance and hair. Therefore, this would be invalid. HOWEVER this is your interpretation. I can't say I like it, as it doesn't really strike me as female looking, but I'll respect your art choice nonetheless. Very talented artist.

laloon In reply to ArchReaperN7 [2013-08-13 18:23:50 +0000 UTC]

Thanks.

Quarians are described to look somewhat similar to humans (a nose, two eyes, hair and general facial/body structure), but the codex doesn't say they look extremely human. Javik said they look beautiful but that's about it. And to me it doesn't matter if she looks female or not, she's an alien
