Description I started out needing an illustration for an art project, and after looking at what was available I had decided none of the previous illustrations of thestrals were going to work for me. Either they were too small or didn't depict the "living horror" that I had imagined them to be after reading J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

So I present the "bare bones" of my interpretation of the literary description.
