MY SCANNER IS MADE OF EPIC FAIL AND DO NOT WANT. : (You see the hair? 6 different colors went into that. Three of those six were red. What do you see? Barely two. D:

Other epic fail, blah blah blah, etc, etc. But... I like the picture itself. I just wish you all could see it in RL. It really disappoints me that there's nothing I can do about it, considering how good I felt with the whole piece. I still do, so I hope you guys can just imagine. The colors are about bold enough, just pretend the coloring's a lot more subtle and varied. : ( I had over 5 colors in the skin, too, and-and-and...
BG is also shitty, (idea thanks to Tanuki, beibei) but better than white I suppose. AH, all my detailing, it was butchered. ;v; *cuddles original copy*
Anyway, about 4+ hours of coloring, while nursing a bit of a migraine today. And drinking strawberry smoothie. :>
Guess the final pic's still okay. I'm mulling it over.

Even with your scanner mauling it, it's still gorgeous. I love how rich and vivid the colors are. I also seriously want to know how you colored his pants because I have an impossible time with coloring black clothes.
The flowing lines that make up his hair and the cool "wrap-around" background make this extra-pretty. You're really good!

I shade black by using purple; I layer on purple first, then black, darken in the shadow areas, then add more purple to blend it more smoothly into the highlights. ...Um, does that make any sense...? D| Basically add a bit more variety in colors to give it a more lively feel! :>

i know how do you feel I want to kill my scanner too, but i cant cuz it have the printer along with it.
But you know i think this is good, look at those colors. it looks great for me so many tones, the hair, the pose (that lovely seme pose *¬*), i love his pants and his belly omg!!! his belly is...can i say it on loud?...is kind of h-h-hoooot!!!
He looks like he were flying, ohhh so amazing, that makes me want to go and draw all night n___n.

Ah, nah, I did 'em with Fantasia-brand colored pencils. They're kinda like Prang colored pencils without the occasional grainy bits. :3 But thank you so much! : )

Duuuude. You have SO MUCH MORE patience than I do, to spend all the time and effort to make that picture look effing amazing.
That's a problem I tend to have with nearly all forms of painting/coloring: no patience to make it look great. In fact, the only time where I actually have patience to make something look good is when I'm traditionally painting something (acrylic paints).
ALAS we are out of most of our acrylic paint ... and we buy only those super small bottles of paint, too ... Hikaru needs BUCKETS of paint to last her through ... haha. And my paintbrushes are all ruined, too. My sister "borrowed" them when she had Art II last year ... and didn't take care of them. Dx
But this teaches me to actually work with stuff more when I'm coloring/painting instead of fighting it.

Really, six colors in the hair, five in the skin? Your scanner did mess up but geeze it's still beautiful, really strong color combinations there. The pose is beautiful, and Luke's hair is whoa. oo I THINK I DIED OVER AND OVER JUST STARING AT THIS, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND NOT COMPUTER COLORED. I adore how bright the hair is *_*. Brilliant job blending the yellow/red. You really captured his high-and-mighty, confidant expression from before Akzeriuth~ Pants are lovely, but look better off (j/k)
I think the fingers of the right hand are slightly off, and I don't really get what the left hand is doing (either gripping his sword or in a fist on his waist, but either way, it's not really clear what's happening with it)... but the dynamic colors really make that a tiny overlooked detail.

His hair is so bright! I wish I wasn't too much of a pussy to press harder with my pencils. (damn that could be taken so wrongly out of context) Ahem! I love his pants >o< Everything came out so dark and vivid. The whole thing looks so dynamic! Is he saying one of Zelos' lines? lol.. it sounds like it! You draw the best Luke pictures ^,^ It's gotten to the point that I'm faving almost every Luke that you post and it makes me feel like a whore. YOU MAKE ME A WHORE YOU KNOW!!!!

I think you should GO BOLD. You've got a soft feel to your CG work as well, but I think if you wanna give it a try, you totally should. If you're a coward (lol your joke made me snicker) you should just print out a copy and give it a go. It's what I do with gifts to other people; I always ink and save the original for myself. XD (<--cheapo)

Jeep refused to leave Olim behind (he's one of the only peopel who know they're half-brothers.) That means that they brought Olim along with them and now that he's not under Van's opression, Asch is a much better parent. <3
