nice artwork... that reminds me of someone emoting under the rain...

That looks pretty. The expression is beautiful, and I like the usage of gray colors. It's very simple but it looks so nice ^_^

wai the fave is very much appreciated celsa-san~

hehe, yes i realized when i look at your works you love a grayish tone in your colors. :3 you work so well with them while *i* still have a lot of experimenting to do o_O;;

thanks again ^^

No prob ^_^

XD Yes, I like a lot to use grayish tones. It gives a more moody and dark look XDDD Also, if you use too much bright colors, attention may be driven to the brightest colors, and people will just remember that part of the pic XDD Or just be not nice to look at because it hurt your eyes. I guess it's also a matter of tastes, and on my case, that I have lots of influence from Fumi Ishikawa, my fav artist (she did the artwork for Suikoden II and III), who uses very gray tones. Though, Murata and ABe also does use them a lot and I love 'em too XDDDD (I talk too much XD)

lol nah, its ok for you to talk a lot. actually, the names of the artists that you mentioned, i'd prolly look at their works to see what you mean i enjoy looking at new styles, with the hopes perhaps i can get something good from them.

right now, i'm too confused with what style i want to settle in @_@ lol, but the style here and in "sweet surrender" might be a good contender!

Oh, then I'll leave some links XDD Here some for Ishikawa (Suikode II) [link] and Suikoden III [link] You have o register to watch the fullviews.

For Range Murata (Blue Submarine NΒΊ6, Last Exile...) [link] [link] (In the gallery, look for the Spheres links. They are a series of sketch books)

For ABe (Lain, Haibane Renmei) [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]

haha hey guess what, i actually knew about these artists without knowing their names o_O their style is very different, so i guess thats why its stuck. i guess the least familiar i am with is ishikawa. since i never follwoed suikoden

Celsa In reply to laikaken [2006-01-25 18:38:02 +0000 UTC]

XDDD I supposed it, since I remember you have mentioned Last Exile sometime, and Lain is very popular XDD Yeah, Ishikawa is not that known but she's pretty good.
Murata and ABe have some points in common in their styles, and yet they are so different O_o I'm learning a lot from all of them. But of course, I also look into the works of many other artists, though they haven't influentiated me as much as those 3 XDD

Yeah... you're right ^^ These days I'm in a need to do two kind of drawings: the less complicated ones and SD/Chibis..

salamat po i think the reason why it gives so much feeling is because i was really depressed when i was making it o_o
