I know this kinda sounds cheesy to say, but your pictures with Banshee always evoke really strong feelings in me. I just love how expressive and bizarre the art can be, yet there is always something about your illustrations of her that I can be like, "Wow I can completely identify with this."

Aww, no, it's not cheesy at all. I think most people create things to communicate stuff, ja? I put the most of myself into my Banshee work, so I'm happy that of all my art, she speaks the loudest to a lot of people. It's some kind of signal to me that I'm on a good path, so I'm really happy you said that!
There are some people on Tumblr who have told me that they can tell that she's really personal to me and thus they've been afraid to reblog her or comment on her, which I think is really fascinating. Most of the people there did not come to me from Johnny stuff, and so have no idea of her history or anything - she's just some girl I draw to them - but that they can tell she carries some heavy importance is really exciting to me.
I've been trying to channel what I do with Banshee into a lot of my other work, but since so much of my work is fanstuff, it's sort of difficult to infuse the same ideas and imagery. (I can just barely get away with covering Garak and Bashir in blood, but I certainly can't do that to Jeeves and Bertie or the Second Doctor or anyone like that. It's so weird that I like all these things but that they fight with each other tonally so completely.)
