Hello there, stranger here.. I was enjoying one of my usual lazy evenings: playing team fortress, browsing tumblr, crying over celebrities, more tumblr browsing.. when I noticed your confession (or, actually, the confession noticed ME, it was the so familiar Pyro that made me scroll back and read the thing).
And, shhhh, I don't usually do this, but since we're kind of a same boat (well, we have similar art problems and we both like TF2, right? Heh), I came to tell you.. don't give up. Work hard, fight, and maybe pray a little bit like I do :'D.
Those who say they wouldn't love to be popular, lie. You see plenty of popular ppl on deviantart and yes - most of them are fucking overrated. The whole thing hurts even more when your FRIENDS get popular, whether they're good or not :'D. (welcome in my life, where my friends get 500+ favs on deviantions and then there's me with 30-100, woohoo)
Making money from art is hard, at least for those who are not freaking popular and can sell simple sketches for $45454 + your soul. I actually made only in about $50 in past half a year, and honestly, it's not worth it, spending 10 hours on something you get few bucks for. I realized I'd better use my time for personal work and improving.

And ignore what you family says. Mine doesn't care anymore, my mom doesn't like my stuff saying it's creepy (srsly mom?). She's been saying that since I was, like, 14.

I'd love to get better but I often feel like I'm stuck and artblocked and uninspired and idk what else. If your parents keep saying some bullshit to you, tell them what I said - that it's really NOT easy.
I know the pain from being hidden and getting unnoticed.
.. But as I said before, keep doing what you like and hope it will break one day

(or just start drawing some kawaii desu desu moshi moshi anime crap and get popular INSTANTLY) XD XD
