The wonderful drew this beauty while I was at work the other day. I spent a good stream coloring it. so here is the amazing Shar! a full body pic of her too!lines

Now to your work! The colors look great. I love how you did her wing membranes. I looks like the colors can change when she moves her wings around.
The only critique would be the lightning in the background. It doesn't look natural in my opinion. Maybe you can use a photo for reference next time. ^^ I do that, too. I sometimes struggle to get a lightning right, too. X'D
The shading and the highlighst are very well done, too!

haha I so would have used a ref if we wern't streaming it. our comp won't let us open anything while we stream. lol and it was the first time I did anything like that. ^^
Her wings are actually made of a crystal like membrane. it's a pain. ^^ but thank you very much. ^^ I'm deff gonna be doing some more bg studies. ^^

yes they are! it's like these sheets of flexible prisms. gives it almost an opalescent (sp? like the gem stone) effect.

by coloring her for years. same way you get anything right. I'm still not even happy with this one, just the best one so far.

ah okay. i just wanted to make sure i got hers and calico's right. that's why i had to extract the color from calico's ref to make sure i got the exact one. photoshop eliments has kinda a limited cholor scheme. and my eyes are too bad to tell the diffrence.
