WOOOOWWW!!!   This is beyond beautiful!! I'm so jealous, I have not much patience to paint flowers but adore their intricate details and amazing colors, It is awe inspiring that you were able to capture and perfectly translate the true beauty of the Iris, I do understand how the scanner eats colors so I sympathize in that area, having said that WOOOOOWWWW!!! You are very talented!!!  Amazing just gah  beautiful!!!

Thank you. & actually no, it's Bristol board paper(smooth, not the vellum). I know what you mean though, I have been meaning to get pastel paper for a while now to try with my pencils. I've seen really rich color work done on it before.

Your most welcome. You have great shading and blending skills, I like this piece.  I prefer Bristol myself. Recently I tried a few works on pastel paper, and I did find it holds color well, but I had a tough time finding white pastel paper. I hope to see more of your drawings in the future, keep up the great work.
