Alright guys it's time for a new fanart, I have been working on this since Sakura's parents rumors were around, I always wanted to make a drawing like this and now that we know more about them I couldn't wait anymore!
Luckly I guessed Kizashi's personality right, I usually don't draw characters without knowing more about them and how they behave but this time I was lucky! So I hope you will enjoy it!
It's heavily influenced by the new Naruto movie "Road to Ninja".

I must admit that I`m a big NaruHina shipper but thatΒ΄s so cute and beautiful... Naruto and Sakura would have been such a great family (IΒ΄m not one of these people who hates another shippings. I can understand why you like them ^^) and both are just like Minato and Kushina. Sakura can also be really creepy xD

Ya know....I've re-read the last chapter over and over again...and I still just don't get it...x.x; Either I was blind this entire time or Kishi had intended on making NaruSaku Canon...and the reason that may not have happened could be due to NaruHina and SasuSaku being the two most popular pairings? maybe that's why he went that route in the end..?
I loved and still do love NaruSaku, I shipped those two right from the very beginning, I must admit I got extremely attached to them, and reading how the Manga wrapped up was a very painful experience. I don't mind the NaruHina ship, so I guess that did cushion some of the disappointment at least. But everyone sure did seem OOC and the ending appeared to be rushed in someway.
Like many have said, I don't think Kishi had originally intended to give us the ending we got, I could be wrong. But all that NaruSaku build up and the parallels between Naruto, Sakura and Minato and Kushina, it must have been foreshadowing something. If that hadn't of been the case, then why do it like that? O.O
I guess we may never really know what went down, perhaps NaruSaku had been originally planned, or maybe given how Kishi can be a massive troll, perhaps he had planned it from the beginning? Maybe he was forced to give the pairings that we got due to popularity and the opinions of his assistants. Or maybe....damn there is so many maybe's X.X its giving me a headache!
ANYWAYS! what's done is done, and just because our ship didn't become canon, we should never stop loving it because of that

*spoilers!* I'm really happy about the ending we got (I think Hinata deserved to end up with Naruto more, since she'd always loved him, always had faith in him and always treated him well, unlike Sakura), but I feel Kishimoto-sensei hinted at NaruSaku waaaay too much and at NaruHina way too little, so it kinda felt like it was a "last minute decision, possibly fan-chosen" ending. I was honestly surprised when I saw the last chapter. Hell, the whole of Shippuden was full to the brim of insinuations that Sakura had grown to love Naruto. Also, Naruto hardly showed any signs of romantic feelings towards Hinata throughout the series. The only NaruHina hints I could perceive were the confession during the fight with Pain and the hand-holding (and her cheering him up after Neji's death) during the battle against Madara, but nothing else, either in the anime or the manga (maybe there were more, but I didn't notice).Β

Yeah that's one of the main problems I have with this ending, If Kishimoto wanted to do a NH and SS ending, why not putting more hints and development for the pairings? I mean he had time to do that since he gave lots of hints and foreshadowing for narusaku, so why not? This only leads to the assumption that he didn't intend these pairings to happen at all. Looks like he had to change his plans all of a sudden, that would explain why everything felt rushed and OOC in the epilogue.Β

Agreed, Kishi didn't put too much development scenes to actually tell us that Naruto will end up with Hinata; it did felt forced as he gave us that ending. But don't feel so bad. Imagine this is Naruto dreaming and this is what he could be dreaming, only it didn't come true as he married Hinata.

I feel like NaruSaku was just as one dimensional as the other pairings. Mainly because most of the time Sakura would keep shooting him down and would only keep loving Sasuke because her feelings did not change. Why? I don't know. Sakura is crazy. Anyways, I knew from the beginning that NH and SS would be canon because I could tell that the only reason those pairings even came into existence was because Kishi was gonna shove them in our faces. NarSaku was more of a mislead. They never had many romantic moments, mostly plotanic. Hinata's confession to him was much more genuine and when Sakura confessed to Sasuke (again) even as he planned on killing the Kage, Naruto, and the Tailed-Beasts, I was like "Well... that's happening".Β
I'm not dissing your paring here. While I never shipped them because I felt Naruto could do better than be strung along by a girl who didn't love him despite all the attention he gave her, I can see why people thought it could happen. I'm NH, of course because I love Hinata and think she'll be better to him but like you said, I'd have like more hints towards it. At least we got more hints towards it than SS. lol, I'll admit I was guilty of shipping them in Part 1, but quickly got over it when Sasuke turned evil.
All that said, while I do not ship NaruSaku, I do find this picture rather touching and very well done.

I'm not ignoring jack shit. If anything, I'm over analyzing. I'm not saying they were well placed hints. Hell, if it were any competent writer, those would not be considered hints.
When Sasuke rejected her in chapter 693, anyone could easily say he was lying. Much like how Itachi said he only pretended to be a kind older brother and killed everyone just for selfish reasons.
Anyways, during that scene, he shook for a second before casting the genjutsu.
Then there's all the moments he keeps "acknowledging her" or smiling at her or catching her or any moment he's not being a condescending jerk to her.
At first, I ignored THOSE little things because in real life, those wouldn't really mean shit.
But Kishimoto said he planned for them to get together for a while now and that Sasuke has always (at the very least) cared about her.
I'm not really saying it's a good, well written couple. But it's there, and that's canon now. Deal with it.
