I read a doujinshi, some years ago, where Thief Bakura's Diabound started as a white snake and that inspired me. After all if Diabound is Bakura's Kaa (a monster that reflects Bakura's soul) I believe is quite logic that when Bakura was little Diabound was kinda little too, like a small snake, then turning into something more wicked and terrifying growing together with Bakura's body and hatred. If I remember well, it's been said in the anime/manga at some point that the Kaa grows and changes its looks with the changing of their human's feelings and soul.
