ive always been a sucker for these kind of photos, i always think that the greatest honor and victory is in death.

my boyfriend is right now at this very moment finishing AIT...he signed up for being a truck driver......pretty much scared shitless because i know that there is a Huge possibility that he goes....but it takes so much courage[sp?] to sign a paper and literally agree to give up ur life for something greater. I appreciate every person that has ever sign up and gone off. Never forget what you saw...what you experienced.

No words can describe how this makes me feel. As the mother of a soldier in the Army, I feel so deeply for the families who need to honor their loved ones service in this way. This photo both tears my heart out AND makes me Proud of the Men and Women serving our country. We ALL need to cherish the gift of Freedom, for it is the men and women of the military whose service and sacrifices make it possible.

This is a very touching photo. Hits close to the heart. I was a Medic in an Army Ranger Battalion for 14 years, I bet I can tell you exactly what that soldier is thinking/feeling.
