Description A badass Vamposer though

I have no idea what he's actually doing with his arms but it looked cool so whatever. Damn straight.

...I have no idea what else to say .-.

Lester DeRosso belongs to Square Enix and the game Bravely Default

Fantastic work! You captured Lord Derosso really swiftly~!
Really love how you emulate poses, especially with the flow of his glorious cape!

Keep up the great work c:

Damn, if I were this good I'd be drawing Qada a whole lot to give him some love.
I'm such a dork.

YOU'RE AMAZING THOUGH.

I think this is his "Battle Thirst" attack.
If Lord DeRosso used his charm ability, it's success rate should have been raised to 100%.

A strategy he no longer uses, but in the days of old when he was constantly at battle with the church, it won him a lot of battles.

Lovely drawing! one of my favorite characters from the game, second only to Ringabel. pity he doesn't get much attention :/ Thank you very much!

Lester is first over Ringabel, only because I seem to like to put characters no one else seems to like above all others. Ringabel is a precious baby too though~

Its just every time I get to a cutscene with DeRosso in it, his dork level somehow increases and I can't help but adore him even more~

Honestly I was expecting to find a butt ton of artwork for him seeing as the game was out in Japan for a long while before it got to us, but sadly there wasn't much ):
Thus, I'm trying hard to contribute for all other Vamposer lovers OwO

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

It is pretty sad that Lord DeRosso didn't get as much attention... I am like you, too, I tend to really like characters people don't care about. In Fire Emblem, my favorite character was Frederick... in Radiant Historia, it was Raul..  but Ringabel's story really hit me towards the end of the game, and I guess I've falled for him a little harder than I had for DeRosso. I really regret the lack of new events with DeRosso in the later chapters though. They sure could have added something else..

I guess you'd love to hear him in the Drama CD, too! he's not only dorky there, but slightly drunk. It's hilarious and cute at the same time!

I wanna hear the Drama CD sooooooooo bad. But I can't download it until I get my computer fixed ;u; I read the translated dialogue though and its something I REALLY wanna hear now, kuhuhuhuhuhu~

Ringabel's story really does kinda hit you over the head during the last few chapters. Poor Ringabby... and then Airy continues to be a dick about it (damn her).
I suppose they really could have added a lot of different events in the later chapters, instead of making you repeat the same sort of thing over and over again. It would have made people whine less about it.

about the repetition.. well, things do change, if you follow the sub-scenario stories. but I guess it takes love for the story to pursue all the possible subscenarios. However, for Lord DeRosso, specifically, the only new event happens in chapter 8, if you chose to do the eternian command center trials... and I really wish there could be more dialogues concerning the paintings, or maybe something dorky, like his exchange with Yulyana in the drama cd.

In the beginning, Ringabel seem to be that philandering guy, sure of himself, and easily pleased as long as there is women nearby.. but slowly this is revealed to be only a front he puts to mask his sensitiveness, his loneliness, and to flee away from his disorientation. After his memories are back along with the grief about what had happened, he truly reveals himself, and in a way, he shows how strong he has been all the time, even when he didn't have a clue for who he was, for always trying to see and always hanging to the bright side of things, no matter how minish or silly they seem to be. He never built further obstacles for him, he always did all he could to keep the positive outlook and keep going. And that was the ultimate blow for me.

Bravely Default seem to be a game very centered on the weight of people's choices in face of events, of the world they had to face, and it is for his choices and his character that Lord DeRosso also shines there. Although his path is much darker, and would I say, way more tainted than Alternis/Ringabel's, who still have an innocent, pure heart, he is also a very inspiring character.

As for Airy, it is just that slowly, she started showing her true colors, more intensely each chapter...

I suppose I can't really hold up on the in depth analyses part. I haven't got the game myself, heck I don't even have the system to play it on. A good amount of what I have observed is from a Let's Play (who ended up skipping many the events in the later worlds, much to my chagrin).

But from what I've managed to find via other users I see what you mean.

oh, I know what you mean. I do that as well, with games I want to play but which systems I don't have.. but very mean of this playthrough player to skip the later chapters' events! Well, I basically went hunting for them XD I still do, actually. There are events that are only triggered if you go to certain places in certain chapters or if you do certain things differently previous times (if you beat Braev first in chapter 5, for example, some events with other people change. There's even a love triangle story involving Braev, Mahzer and swordmaster Kamiizumi to unfold if you do things in a certain way...

About Ringabel, his character is the one we get the most insight of, not only because of the events, but also due to the D's journal (we can read the whole of it the moment Ringabel joins the party in Caldisla, and Ringabel himself adds notes and entries as the game unfolds. Reading the D's journal, we can see how much he has always craved a family, that he had a low self-esteem as Alternis Dim, seeing himself as cold and unscrupulous, even though he went through a lot of trouble saving Egil from being tortured by Qada (who he refers as fat pig, with a LOT of disdain), also going through the trouble of taking care of the boy afterwards, his liking of sadistic, dominant women (and hints of Edea being jealous of him when he brags about women, since she also added coments here and there to his notes),  his admiration of Lord DeRosso, and how much he was touched and honored when Braev called Alternis and himself his son.

In the events, there are some hints that Ringabel is not the philandering man he seem to be at first (even though is liking of women is solid fact), and, reading closely to his talk, one can see that his constant talking of women is actually a humorous way to lighten up. (after a first playthrough and reading his entries in the D's journal, I got to the conclusion that even his decision to go against Agnés and embark Grandship when they first spotted it was a way to lighten up and get everyone a distraction from the heavy atmosphere that installed after Olivia's death and after Edea revealed herself to be the Grand Marshal's daughter, even though he only talked about wanting to see women in bikini.

here's an event in which Ringabel ditches a date for her being too shallow (though no one seem to pay attention to that):
Party chat - Overpriced love

Edea: Ringabel, where is that girl you've been seeing? she hasn't come around lately. Did she finally get fed up with you and leave?

Ringabel: I'd had enough of her, anyway.

Agnés: did she offer you a reason?

Ringabel: Well, she's been saying how she wanted this gold lamé handbag, so I finally bought it for her.

Tiz: You actually ended up buying it...

Edea: that had to be rather pricey. I'm surprised you could afford it.

Ringabel: She seemed really happy when she walked around with her new handbag. But soon, all I could see was the handbag. It looked to me like the bag was walking around with her. It was one huge wet blanket on our relationship.

Edea: ha ha! that's what happens when you don't live within your means!

Ringabel: You're telling me. I'm almost broke now.

Edea: that bad, huh?

Ringabel: It is. and tonight we'll be roughing it outdoors! Right, Tiz?

Tiz: wait, whaat?

And here's another event in which Ringabel slips in a little hint of his personality:

Party chat: unfathomable

Tiz: The sage sure gave us a lot to think about. The dangers of the crystals and the Harrowing...

Agnés: The Harrowing...

Edea: To think he has studied it for eighteen hundred years and is still in the dark about what it is...

Agnés: ....

Tiz: I can't help thinking that the Harrowing is what we're going through right now.

Ringabel: You mean right here in this strange world where time seem to have been rewound?

Tiz: .... Do you think this strange world bears some relation to whatever causes the Great Chasm?

Agnés: ....

Edea: ....

Ringabel: Ah, well. who can know? Just like none can fathon the ways of a woman's heart. At least that pursuit, while just as pointless, is more enjoyable.

Ringabel's entries in the D's journal about Lord DeRosso are also very interesting, and very revealing, with things that didn't appear in the dialogues, such as an explanation for how Yulyana managed to live for nearly as long as DeRosso himself (he found texts of an agelessness ritual and an elixir when he was an Archbishop to the Orthodoxy, which he perfected and performed on himself, to Lord DeRosso's surprise, so that he could carry on his plan of cleasing the Orthodoxy), and deeper observation accounts of Lord DeRosso himself, of his melancholy and his lamentation for his immortality. I'd transcribe these but it'd get quite long...

sorry the long time to reply! the first time, I beat the game in around 90 hours-ish. but I grew up playing Final Fantasy, so I just felt at home in Bravely Default. I don't think you can't get all possibilities in one playthrough, though. Part of the challenge is trying to do things in different ways and in different orders than you did before. Like defeating Victor and Victoria so they fall AT THE SAME TURN, instead of first one, then other.. and yes, you get special dialogues for those scenarios!
