There's a difference between "inspired by" and "based on." I would be tempted to say that this piece neared "based on." They are very obviously similar.

ARGH! I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE THIS SOOOOOOOO MUCH. Have you/do you do artwork for bands' album covers? I want to assemble a band just for the sake of being able to use this picture and any of your future work for album covers. That's what it reminds me over, an amazingly crafted album cover. It's beautiful.
I was instantly attracted to it, the blue hue is so sad, the girl herself looks beyond destressed. You've created life in such a small picture. I don't think alot of people will agree with me but it's the first time I've done it and it's simply because I can't see a single thing I'd give you a lower rating in.
Too late, I've done it. Five stars all around, friggin' BRILLIANT. More please.

Meh, when I load the link I see nothing but to be honest, something being inspired and something being original are not neccessarily the same thing. I see what you are getting at with the idea that because it was heavily inspired by something it would be less original but at the end of the day, I don't see many things like this about and inspired or not inspired this to me is beautiful and original.

Absolutely fantastic. I love the skin imperfections so much!.
The look and emotion is simply beautiful. It is so delicate. I am hypnotized by the sadness of her eyes.
I am not sure about the off-center composition, but I believe it is your vision so it is good for me too.
I don't know if the butterfly in the lower left corner contributes to the message. I would say the one by her hair and the one in the distance probably would be enough for me. The one in corner kind of distracts. But it's only my subjective opinion.
Overall - captivating.

I adore adore adore this one! Sometimes I say to my husband, I am so loved but yet I am so lonely, so I can relate to this 101 percent. I love the simplicity of the concept and the single tear that runs down her cheek. I like the way you have captured the dewiness in her eyes and the shine of her lips as well. If I had one critique of criticism it would only be that her left eye the duct lighting is not as seamlessly blended as I would like or am used to in your works, but other then that I really love this piece altogether!
Again so well done I applaud your talent, thank you for sharing your gift!
