was going over my old files on my old computer and I saw I made a few more of these, so I updated the file! These are pretty old, but thought maybe you might like to see them?

I wanted them to be REALLY basic. They are only cell-shaded and completely made with nothing but the pencil tool. Edaric's face is much larger than the others because I made his first before the idea to make more D:

I guess my goal was to make them look like those old fashion 8-16 bit RPG portrait shots you'd see back 'in the day'

I make characters in stories based on friends! I do it without asking them either DDD:> s-sorry....

for fun, since I am sick and have not much to do, I will type a bit about each character, please feel free to ignore <3 I'm bad at writing...

A sheltered and protected white magic prodigy, Edaric has been selected to become the successor to the current White Monarch(the leader of the white magic religion). He'll one day become the White Monarch and lead the church. wishes his mother would write him more.

An arrogant student who has the talent to back up her giant ego. She is known for her love of fashion, but is not to be considered a girly-girl, she just loves interesting fashion.

Not much is known about Rei, which isn't his/her true name. s/he has no gender, and it's obvious s/he isn't even human. For the sake of hiding this strange figure amongst his piers, Edaric has declared Rei a female, and others refer to Rei as a ‘her’.

you would think one with such a cute look wouldn't be responsible for such a great deal of deaths. May is the stern and mature female figure head to the church, and is the one in charge of the great convent town of Lei. May is currently off fighting in the war against the Gerimihan empire. she is the church of white magics most decorated and respected warrior. Writes her son when she can.

No one knows who Luife truly is, nor if Luife is even his real name. brought to the convent of Lei when he was 8 by May. From the fallen Godoy kingdom, (now Gerimihan empire). Soft spoken and intelligent, he is also a ladies man! Has a strong brotherly bond with Edaric. He leaves when May is called out to duty, heading into the Gerimihan empire with her.

Once a high ranking white mage, After being told he would not advance his position because they believed he reached the peak of his skills,. he defected and joined the Gerimihan empire. They say it was his lust of power which made him do so, but it’s learned, that Arthur merely feels that no one but yourself can tell you the limit of your potential. He feels the church is wrong in telling people they can never strive to become better. He knows a bit of black magic, making him a Red mage now, but his black magic talents are novice level. His true strength are his strong will and sword.

(at first he is an enemy, but after a few encounters and some events, Arthur becomes a friend)

A bit on the eccentric side, Jon is still a wise leader. Although his true feelings about the church of white magic are unknown, he sides with the Gerimihan empire, as his people were tired of their lands falling victim to the paladin army of the church. Although he seems a bit on the frail looking side, underestimating him is a big mistake. his black magic talents are legend, and his control and use of them for only in the name of peace is even more admirable.

Cocolin used to find her days full of excitement as she followed behind May and completed important tasks. however, once May was send off to battle, Cocolin found herself with nothing to occupy her time. bored, she found herself wondering who this young one named Rei was, and where she came from. After discovering Rei is not a member of the church and not even human, she does not report him/her, but rather, the two become friends. Rei feels more comfortable asking Coco questions about humans rather than Edaric.

She originally came to learn white magic, and become one of their priestesses, but learned she lacked the skills to use higher quality white magic, and thus decided to become one of the knights of the church. Jennie has a unique trait to bring to battles. She has an ability to ease the hearts of monsters, and even befriend them. She has a number of tamed beasts she keeps outside the Grand Convent of Lei. when May is summoned to war, Jen was assigned as her private guard to make sure she was protected.

'Second in command' to traveling circus group. Kairu is in charge of repairing mechanical devices while also inventing new rides and attractions for their carnival. On stage, he makes an interesting ring master, and sometimes will feel the need to jump in the acts. He will do weapon demonstrations for show, like duels and juggling flaming swords, and is super good at it but he actually has little real combat experience, other than the basic monster on the road that is.

Part of Kairu's traveling circus. she's that person who puts on the blind fold and throws daggers at people on a wheel, you know? Kind of a worry-wort about the others and hates to see people sad. Her hunting skills comes in handy on the road. A good cook. bows and rifles are her specialty

performers of Kairu's circus Chris and Mark are twins who's stage performance tells the audience they were the same person with two brains, one for white magic, one for black, and they fought so much that person split into two. In reality they are just blue mages from the fallen Godoy kingdom. Mark specializes in offensive blue magic, while Chris does more support spells. Alone in battle they are weak, but when the two are kept as a pair, they can be very deadly. they do combo spells and tumbling attacks. They're very athletic little guys with tons of energy. maces and short rods are their weapons

Not much is known of her past save she let slip to Edaric once she thinks Lei was a beautiful town, giving evidence she might have been from the Church of White Magic. mostly she uses her kicks, but has arm blades for weapons.
Okay, so if this was a video game, she would be my favorite character because of how her actions go in combat. See, she would start with no magic and tons of HP. every time she does a move, it would take life from her, like, stamina, yeah? more devastating show attacks would take more. I guess she would be a kind of tricky character to get the hang of.

Name: Queen Godoy (people who have mutual friends with me now know a secret about the Luife character XD)

The Gerimihan have stated that Queen Godoy turned over all her land, power and empire to them, as they agreed with their statement against the church of white magic, and thus led the three nations into war. In truth the kingdom was over thrown. To ensure the loyalty of the people, the Gerimihan empire did not state the hostility they used to gain control. The Queen and her sons have not been seen since. Queen Godoy is currently(secretly) under the protection of the fleet of freedom, as they try to help her back to her throne. She was once very close friends with May.
