A modern take on the ugly duckling. A little overdone I know, but I was so grumpy and just wanted to do something easy >o>An alternative to this composition was this: [link] which I still kinda like :/ It was for a mock cover to a supplement in the Guardian.

I can relate to the unhappy girl in the picture because my parents had me do swimming lessons during my middle school years, only the other students were in elementary school and were already splashing about like ducks, and I, on the other hand, reacted like a cat suddenly tossed intoΒ thrown into deepΒ water.Even my kid sister scored better, while I bombed and hated my life.
