I thought their mascot was cute. Tiny con, cute mascot, woot!
Someday I shall learn to draw handsssss! This was very very rushed; one night's work OTL... And on my super-slow laptop, So I didn't have time to fix everything I wanted do, and I was really tired, lol TAT
Anyway if you're in central Texas February 4-6 (and you're over 18 ^^'') Come to Ushicon! I'll be there along with lots of other artists =]

I was really bummed too, cause I really wanted to go. The weather was just too horrible up here though. Everything was closed that day; there was no way I was going to risk it. None of my room-mates were able to go either.

haha, I hope they use it somehow, but I kinda finished this last minute, so they might not have time to use it properly.
It's 18+ because they're looking for a more "mature" atmosphere, I believe was the term. I can respect that (kids are annoying). But I'm wondering how it's gonna pan out sales-wise, and how they're going to enforce the age rules (there is nothing on the site that prevents underage people from registering...). Also, I'm wondering if there's gonna be PORN EVERYWHERE cause *supposedly* there won't be anyone under 18 xD

Actually I didn't go either, bad weather kept me at home. I didn't know they had a selection process for the AA D= that stinks, wonder what their deal was.

In regards to Ushicon, my take on the AA process was that you submit your registration, give em website etc etc.
And they choose who gets a table based on their decision if you have what they want to see at their convention.
Pretty bias and lame in my opinion. However, I've never been able to attend Ushicon yet, or really meet anyone involved in it, so I dont want to be negative about the venue.
I would LOVE to attend and do AA at a 18+ venue! Not cause PORN might be EVERYWHERE! lol, but just cause the people I would really like to promote and showcase my own artwork to, are folks 18+
My stories, concepts, ideas are more aimed at 'adult' mentality folks. Well, thats what I am trying anyway.

I think the only thing I would change on the hands is make them a little smaller overall (more so her right hand in the bg). Girls have such tiny hands xD
But honestly it's fine, no worries, and enjoy the con

It was only because you mentioned it, that I closely looked at it over again and thought so.
I abuse the transform tool, it's my friend XD Whenever I draw guys hands I just draw them a little bigger/broader than mine. I think that has worked for me for the most part

I also abuse the transform tool. It's a fun way to try different positions and such though "What would it look like if the arm was bent that way instead..."
I hesitate to use my hands as reference, lol. They're so fat and stubby

Haha yesss xD that's what I really love about sketching digitally! It allows me to easily try out sudden ideas and impulses!
I use my hands just as a base since I exaggerate depending on the person I'm drawing. But if measurements is your only issue, then knowing the size relationship between the face and hands should help ouo (I'm sure there's tutorials on that) And depending on age, just make hands a bit smaller.
